Clinical Supervision provides the opportunity for skill development and reflection.

Social work supervision offers invaluable support, guidance, and reflection for social workers. It provides a structured space for professional development, ensuring ethical practice, enhancing skills, and managing challenging cases.

Supervision fosters self-awareness, resilience, and confidence, ultimately improving client outcomes and promoting overall well-being in the social work profession.

My areas of knowledge include

  • Starting your career can be exciting and overwhelming. I provide a basis where we can take into account a code of ethics and values and ensure that they align with the work we are doing and how to incorporate them. I have had many years of experience providing field supervision to Final-year social work students.

  • I have supported several people in gaining their mental health accreditation. It can be overwhelming starting this process and I can help break it down into manageable aspects so you can be confident in your approach.

  • Many years of working in health means I understand the unique hierarchical aspects that impact work and have experience in working in a multidisciplinary team. I will work with you to promote social work identity, show value in social work roles and manage the interpersonal aspects of this field. We can also focus on burnout prevention and ensure compassion fatigue can be mitigated.

  • This type of role can be so meaningful and challenging. We can reflect on holding space for several clients a day, transference and the often inner conflict with the scope of the role and brief limited intervention framework. Exploring case conceptualisation to help target focus and increasing confidence to be comfortable with the breadth of client presentations are some ways I can help.

  • Having worked in Oncology and Palliative Care area for over 10 years, I have extensive practice knowledge in the area of grief and loss. I can provide support in reflective practice and best practice.

  • I can help with direct clinical counselling practice and working with young people. I bring the awareness of attachment and developmental influences for this population.

  • Learn from my mistakes! I have a thriving private practice and can support you in starting, managing imposter thinking, navigating sense of isolation and setting up sustainable systems with marketing so you can succeed
