Find Freedom from your past and trauma with EMDR Therapy

Struggling with past experiences, anxiety or feeling stuck?

EMDR Therapy can help you process what is weighing you down, allowing you to move forward with more ease and confidence.

You might be here because:

  • Anxiety feels constant or exhausting

  • You feel on edge, like your body is stuck in “fight or flight” even when nothing is wrong

  • Past experiences still feel present, showing up as intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, or emotional overwhelm

  • You avoid certain places, situations, or experiences because they feel too triggering or unsafe

  • You grew up being told you’re “too much”, too emotional or too sensitive, and you’ve noticed you have shrunk yourself, lost yourself, and put others’ needs before your own

  • You’re navigating big changes: relationships, parenthood, identity, work, loss of an expectation

  • You’re tired of coping and want real support

Therapy with me is warm, creative, and grounded in compassion, offering a space where you can feel safe and understood. We’ll work together to understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns that no longer serve. Where helpful, we’ll use EMDR therapy to process trauma and support lasting change, so you can move forward with more ease, clarity, and self-trust.

Nice to meet you

Hi, I’m Mel

I’m a qualified therapist who primarily uses EMDR therapy to support adults who feel anxious or overwhelmed by past trauma, or who carry the belief that they are “too much” or not good enough.

My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative, creating a space where you can feel safe to explore what’s been holding you back.

Areas I help with

Using EMDR therapy, I often support people with:

You’re not broken. Something in you is responding to life, and together we’ll explore that with care.

What to Expect

A calm, confidential space where you can speak freely

  • Book online for a 50-minute session at a time convenient for you

  • First session: identify what’s happening, explore context, and highlight stories and patterns shaping your experience

  • Collaborative care: we decide together what to prioritise and how to proceed.

  • Follow-ups: evidence-based interventions, measurable progress monitoring, and adjustments paced to your safety and tolerance

Many clients tell me therapy feels like a relief - a place where they can finally exhale.
